This rare, EARLY original cardboard poster was produced for the great Man In Black Johnny Cash performing with His Tennessee Two at the legendary Division Street Corral in Portland Oregon on June 27th, 1959. The Tennessee Two was the name of an early incarnation of his backing band in the late 50s. During this era, Cash also went by the nickname "the Undertaker" because of his habit of wearing black clothes. Sixty years ago, the Division Street Corral was the hot spot for Portland area youth on a Saturday night. The venue opened in December 1948 at S.E.171st and Division Street. Famous entertainers who performed there over the years included: Hank Thompson, Bobby Vinton, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Ray Price, Bobby Vee, The Ventures, Bobby Darin, and many more.
