This is the first CGC graded example of this poster to appear at public auction. While this poster is available in a couple different color combinations this is also the first we have auctioned or sold privately with this color combination. We have sold several with black print on green paper. A high grade example of the green variant was cataloged as “Minty” and brought $2541 on 9/8/16.

The Grateful Dead played the Avalon Ballroom on three consecutive nights in April of 1969 and they were supported by Graham Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers. This poster is featured in The Art of Rock plate 2.26 . There is no artist credit on this poster; however there is another poster for this same show (AOR 2.25). That poster was designed by underground comix artist Jack Jaxon and we believe that this poster was created by the same. Really odd design which came first chicken or egg?
