This Coop issue was created for Southern Culture on the Skids at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO on May 29th 1998. The group formed in Chapel Hill North Carolina over a decade earlier showcasing their own unique blend of surf rockabilly R&B and country-fried garage with a side of psychedelia.
Chris Cooper AKA Coop is one of the most popular poster artists of the modern era. He is well known for his comic book-style artwork that often features 1950's pinup style women, B-movie monsters, robots, and devils. His style is generally colorful and humorous in nature.
