This original 1971 tour blank handbill advertises The San Francisco Mime Troupe in Dragon Lady's Revenge. Full color artwork by Patrick Lofthouse. This particular theatre production earned the San Francisco Mime Troupe one of its two coveted "OBIE" Awards!. The provocative artwork spawned by Patrick Lofthouse was originally produced for the 1971 or 1972 presentation of the play. The Dragon Lady's Revenge script was authored by Joan Holden, Patricia Silver, Jael Weisman & Andrea Snow, with Sharon Lockwood. The production opened in August of 1971 at San Francisco's Washington Square Park. Inspired by an article in RAMPARTS MAGAZINE Vol.9 No. 10 (May 1971) entitled "THE NEW OPIUM WAR", written by Frank Browning and Banning Garrett, which broke the news of C.I.A. involvement in the Indochina drug trade. The Dragon Lady's Revenge closed its run in New York from December to January (1972-1973) where it won an OBIE, coinciding with Nixon's Christmas bombing of Vietnam.
