This original cardboard poster printed by Globe Poster Company is a variant of AOR-1.43 and was printed in 1983 to advertise Z.Z. Hill appearing at The Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas Texas. His song "Down Home Blues" has been called the best-known blues song of the 1980s. From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010, Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
Condition details: staple holes, edge wear, tears, slight waviness.
