This original Texas poster features the great Tower of Power performing at Armadillo World Headquarters in January of 1976. This tour was supporting their recent record release “In The Slot” which was their last studio album for Warner Brothers. It also marked the debut of the band's new vocalist Hubert Tubbs. The songs "Ebony Jam" and "Drop It in the Slot" were later sampled on the Beastie Boys' 1989 album Paul's Boutique.

The Armadillo World Headquarters opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. This legendary club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere.
