This cardboard poster printed by Globe Poster Co. was produced in1982 to advertise Smokey Robinson and Angela Bofill at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City. From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010, Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
Condition details: tear on bottom, tape on back, pinholes, staple holes, soft corners, scuffing.
