This poster advertised Country Joe & The Fish appearing at The Jabberwock in Berkeley on October 10th thru 16th, 1966. The Jabberwok started as a successful jazz club in the early sixties until it was purchased by Bill "Jolly Blue" Ehlert in 1965. Ehlert converted much of the venue's performances to a more psychedelic sound. In 1966 Ehlert hired Jesse Cahn who had been a guest drummer for the Chambers Brothers to co-manage the Jabberwock while he ran the Matrix in San Francisco.
