This poster is from the legendary Ultrasounds Collection the most extensive and finest quality collection of concert posters from this era. This lot is among the very FIRST posters from the Ultrasounds Collection to be CGC authenticated and graded. As such it’s unique and historically important provenance has been specially designated on the CGC label.
Here is a rare pacific northwest poster featuring the Grunge Gods of the Olympic Peninsula Nirvana in late 1991. This poster designed my modern artist Mike King was pasted up around the city to advertise their concert at the Fox Theatre in Portland. The show took place in October just one month after their breakthrough album release Nevermind. By the end of the year their mainstream success had already grown so much that the band would never return to performing in such small venues. We don't come across Nirvana material in High Condition like this very often because it can be so difficult to find, which makes this CGC graded example a real treat.
