This amazing first printing Allman Brothers poster is appearing in our auction for the FIRST time! Artist Gary Grimshaw created it to advertise The Allman Brothers, Dr. John, and The Rockets on December 9th, 1972 at Crisner Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

1972 was a tumultuous year in the history of the Allman Brothers Band. Still reeling from the untimely death of Duane Allman the year prior, the band also lost their original bassist, Berry Oakley, just a month before this event, when he died due to complications following a motorcycle accident that occurred just blocks from where Duane had been killed.

However, despite the immense amount of tragedy the band experienced, 1972 also happened to be the year they released their incredible double album Eat A Peach. The album featured both studio tracks and live recordings and was the final LP to feature the guitar work of Duane Allman. Eat A Peach was a huge commercial success, peaking at #4 on the Billboard pop album chart and eventually becoming certified platinum.

This uncommon concert poster may not appear again in our auction anytime soon!
