This handbill is signed by the artist, Randy Tuten!
Notable is the bottom left of this handbill which advertises the legendary Day on the Green #6 & #7 Led Zeppelin shows at Oakland Stadium. (We have previously auctioned the famous poster!) These handbills were printed in several different variants and versions leading up to the show dates advertised, which makes them very unique. Other versions exhibit a different layout of bands / venues and also have a "Sold Out" banner printed across the Zeppelin plug.
These dates were some of the most infamous in the history of this powerhouse band. According to accounts members of Led Zeppelin's crew beat the crap out of a member of Bill Graham's staff in retaliation for a backstage incident involving a crew members' son. These concerts were to be the last US Led Zeppelin Concerts ever staged!
