Robert E. Brown designed this beautiful, intricate image for this Pink Floyd Salt Lake show in 1970. Brown did illustration work in YELLOW DOG COMICS #15 underground comix, and his work appeared in the first four (of five) issues of PROMETHEAN ENTERPRISES (Published in the SF Bay Area, between 1969 and 1974), an early underground comic fanzine that featured the work of R. Crumb, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Robert Williams, Spain Rodriguez, Rick Shubb, Bob Zoell and others).

In addition, he created multiple front covers and strips for the Berkeley Barb (an infamously well known & notorious S.F. Bay Area underground newspaper) in the late 60's. He is also noted for authoring & illustrating the incredible "Dragon World" full color hardbound children's book in 2005, featuring 68 paintings of unique Dragons of all sorts.

By spring of 1970, David Gilmour had come into his own within the band and their live performances throughout their US spring tour were quickly becoming legendary. In early May, their spaceship landed at the Terrace Ballroom located on Main Street in Salt Lake City Utah.

Originally called Coconut Grove when it opened in the 1930's, this ballroom would come to host shows in the sixties and seventies by popular bands like The Doors, Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead and more. It's location was surrounded by Mormons, few of which were interested in being part of a young people's psychedelic movement, therefore posters from this venue seem to be extra hard to find. They were printed in very small quantities of 500, which makes them extremely rare these days, in ANY condition.
