The Delano Grape Workers Strike was a battle between the underpaid Latino and Filipino farm workers and the growers who owned the grape farms. It was a protest that lasted nearly the entirety of the 1960s in Delano California. For the first time in American History, led by the illustrious Cesar Chavez, over 2,000 farm workers started a boycott against grapes. Through grassroots efforts like marches and non-violent resistance, the movement revealed the plight of our nation's lowest-paid workers.
