1983 Buddy Guy Junior Wells Detroit Globe Poster

This cardboard Globe poster advertised Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Willie D. Warren appearing at St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit on April 22nd, 1983. From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010 Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
