Original copies of Rick Griffin's Hawaiian Aoxomoxoa are some of the most coveted, desirable, and expensive concert posters in the world. The second printing offered here offers the opportunity to own this treasure at a more affordable price.

This poster has it all, incredible color, design, and one of the best examples of the artist's signature lettering style. It was created for a concert by one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock n Roll. The Hawaii Aoxomoxoa was inspired by the artwork for the third Grateful Dead album. This poster was created for a run of canceled 1968 Dead shows in Honolulu, Hawaii. As the legend goes, the printer did not get paid by the promoter and destroyed all but a handful of copies.

The year that the poster was printed was erroneously identified as 1969 in The Art of Rock, a 1987 coffee table book that has since its publication become the collector's resource for this hobby. CGC also incorrectly lists the year as 1969 on their label. The independent grading company sources the Art of Rock directly for their labeling. Careful research by serious poster experts has concluded that Griffin created the poster in 1968 and that the Hawaiian poster art actually pre-dates the Aoxomoxoa album cover art.
