The Brothers Johnson were an R&B and funk band who achieved success with a handful of chart topping singles in the 1970s and 1980s. These included I'll Be Good to You, Strawberry Letter 23, and Stomp!. This original poster was designed for the group's appearance at Madison Square Garden on October 19th, 1978 with Heatwave and Hamilton Bohannon in support. This is the first time it is appearing in our auction!
