This handbill was produced to advertise an INCREDIBLE LINEUP of performers at the historic Greenwich Village nightclub the Cafe Au Go Go in April / May of 1966.
Featured acts on the handbill are Jim Kweskin Jug Band and the Youngbloods (a VERY early live appearance for the young band). Also listed are upcoming performances at the venue by Muddy Waters John Lee Hooker Bo Diddley and The Blues Project!
The Cafe Au Go Go club in Greenwich Village has long history throughout the 1960s, ranging from Lenny Bruce in 1964 through an endless array of well known and popular musicians appearing there up until late 1970. The club also happened to be the first New York City concert venue to host the Grateful Dead.
