The Southern California folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield was the launching pad for the talents of Neil Young and Stephen Stills, as well as Richie Furay and Jim Messina. This original LP album slick was designed and produced for what was supposed to be Buffalo Springfield's second studio album, Stampede, which was set to be released in the summer of 1967. However, the album was never released. This was due to conflict between band members, as well as issues with their management. Instead, the band managed to regroup and release Buffalo Springfield Again, in November 1967.
