Presenting this original 1959 early R&B cardboard issue printed by Globe Poster Company! This piece advertised an event at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, TN on July 27th, 1959. Performers included Clyde McPhatter, Bo Diddley, Chubby Checker, The Crests (who originally wrote the song 16 Candles), and Paul Williams!

From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010 Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising.
