1987 Alice 'N Chains Backstage Club Poster

Original poster for Alice 'n Chains opening for Variant Cause at the Backstage club on August 5th 1987. This was early in the band's career. Alice 'N Chains ended up in two incarnations going from glam rock to grunge metal through several changes. In this first lineup they played for about a 12-month period and recorded two demos before breaking up a few months after this Backstage show. By the early 90s a new shape of the group (and slight name change Alice IN Chains) became a major force in grunge & metal.
