Here is a classic early Mouse/Kelley poster for the weirdness that was Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band. Artist Don Van Vliet AKA Captain Beefheart had a powerful and unique voice he blended various musical styles with an experimental approach.

This poster for that event utilizes an illustration from late 19th century German cartoonist Heinrich Kley and is truly striking. Knowledgeable collectors know that early Family Dog material is many times rarer than the Fillmore series. As such posters such as this are highly sought after whenever offered at public sale! Created by the two of the most famous poster artists of the era Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley and signed by each!

This is the first DOUBLE SIGNED example to appear at public auction with CGC grading and authentication. This poster is 100% Original with no restoration. The paper is completely intact with no nicks cuts or tears along the outside edges.

There are 3 pinholes along the left margin of the poster and another tack-hole in the upper right corner. There is also toning throughout an authentic unrestored DOUBLE SIGNED example!

This poster is beautifully signed in pencil by Stanley Mouse and the late Alton Kelley.
