This poster has a place in every Grateful Dead poster collection. Billed as Jerry Garcia & Friends with Neil Young, The Doobie Brothers and Jefferson Starship also on the bill. Jerry Garcia's friends that day turned out to be the other members of the Grateful Dead. This show marked the Band's return to live performance after a 5-month hiatus.
This benefit show held at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. S.N.A.C.K. - Students Need Athletics, Culture, And Kicks, was a project of Bill Graham to give back to the community. Graham staged the concert with 11 performers and over 50 guest celebrities in March 1975. Noted artist Randy Tuten designed this beautiful original poster.
