This poster by artist Lee Conklin is one of the most requested and well known posters from the series. This stunning black and white illustration exemplifies the artists’ style of hidden and flowing images. The art was so powerful that Santana had the piece reworked for their first album cover. This image is one of the most used examples of 1960’s art in volumes chronicling the genre.
This poster is 100% Original with no restoration of any kind. There are no nicks cuts tears folds or pinholes whatsoever. Unfortunately someone wrote “134” in pencil in the black area of the lower right corner. That is the only flaw otherwise this poster is DEAD MINT.
This is just second example of this poster to appear at public auction with CGC grading. The previous example was a 9.8 copy that was auctioned off over a year ago for $8107 on 9/3/15. Here’s your chance to get one of the most highly sought after classic rarities signed by the artist that is in truly fantastic condition for a bargain price compared to another example with a higher numerical grade. (If you could find one!)
This poster is signed in ink by the artist Lee Conklin.
