We are very pleased to offer this MONSTER MUSEUM PIECE. This is the FIRST CGC Graded example to appear at public auction and it is flawless and superb in every way. It’s truly a miracle that this poster has survived 50+ years in this magnificent condition. The color is bright and crisp. The colors are bold and rich. There are NO FLAWS of any kind!
This very old 50+ year old poster embodies many of the central characters of the 1960’s The Hell’s Angels The Merry Pranksters and Big Brother and the Holding Company. The Grateful Dead were also in attendance nut do not appear on the poster. As such it is an important historical artifact and it also features one of the best poster designs of the 1960’s the back of a leather motorcycle jacket designed by Gut one of the Hell’s Angels. The poster is featured in The Art of Rock plate# 2.247.
This poster has been off the market for close to 30 years. In the past restored copies have regularly brought $3 000 - $3 300 at auction. The high water for MINT examples was $7150 all the way back on 3/1/07. Of course that poster was NOT independently graded and it’s hard to believe it was flawless in all respects. If you want to build a collection of the “best of the best” and own a beautiful ultra important historical poster this is an opportunity that should not be passed up! Un-improvable in every way!
