Presenting the first appearance of a CGC graded FD-64 Postcard in our auction, and it was mechanically addressed to a Family Dog mailing list fan on the reverse!
This original Postcard offers the same popular and iconic art for far less than a First Print Poster of this FD-64 issue currently commands! The Doors at the historic Avalon Ballroom! If you're new to collecting, this lot is for you. Great band, high quality amazing art and super affordable price point. Advertising a series of concerts featuring The Doors, this was the last of the four Doors Family Dog posters which featured high voltage fully electrified psychedelic imagery by the wizard of your retinas Victor Moscoso. Often referred to as The Pink Panther, since the central imagery features the eyes and nose of a cat with two human profiles superimposed so that each is facing outward and downward one under each eye of the cat in vibrant & vivid almost neon blue and pink / magenta colors. Close inspection of the lettering and imagery reveals slight overlap of color which Moscoso created for a 3-D like effect more subtle than his FD-53 design.
This postcard example is the OPC-C version, and was mechanically addressed to Family Dog mailing list fans back in the day.
