This stunning and highly sought after translucent poster by Bob Fried is not a concert poster but rather a very early and highly desirable 1967 Grateful Dead promotional poster - featured in the Art of Rock plate 2.190.

Just 500 posters were issued and very few survive today due to the extremely fragile and brittle nature of the translucent acetate on which it is printed. Most examples that have survived are severely cracked or exhibit major sun damage as they were displayed in windows where the sunshine could best display the spectacular translucent design. Due to it’s uniqueness and spectacular design this poster is highly sought after in ANY CONDITION.

The example offered here is the finest we have EVER seen or handled. It is DEAD MINT flawless in all respects and a major rarity as such. Our records show just 7 previous auction appearances in the past 10 years. The most recent MINT specimen brought $7443 five years ago on 5/10/12.

We believe this poster would be graded 9.8 by CGC but it is too large to meet their current size limitations. A True Trophy Piece!
