This printer's proof poster designed by Gary Grimshaw advertised an event called Kick Out the Jams, a tribute to the MC5's Rob Tyner that took place at the State Theatre in Detroit on February 22nd, 1992. Tyner had passed away just a few months before. The event included performances from The Romantics, Dark Carnival, MC5's Wayne Kramer, and more.

MC5 started their music career in Michigan and developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances. They were a mainstay at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. Their 1969 debut album Kick Out the Jams landed them into the history books. Their lifespan was unfortunately short-lived, and in 1972 the band came to an end - just three years after their debut record.
