This beautifully preserved poster advertised Marvin Gaye performing at the Rochester War Memorial in Rochester, NY on July 16th, 1983. Gaye's life was tragically cut short the following year when he intervened in a fight between his mother and father and his father shot him in the chest. Gaye shaped the Motown sound in the 1960s and his music is still legendary and celebrated to this day.
