This annual San Francisco event was previously called the Hooker's Ball through 1978. It morphed into the Masquerade Ball the following year and traveled to Hollywood and New York. The events were promoted by self-described prostitute and sex-positive feminist Margo St. James. This poster for 1979 was beautifully designed by noted artist Randy Tuten.

This is the rare uncut proof of the piece!
