Here’s a terrific and humorous poster that was created for a show billed as “A Tribute to J. Edgar Hoover. Too funny! This infamous figure who was the founder of the FBI was not likely to be one of the hero’s of residents of the Haight. Hoover was known for exceeding his authority at the FBI and spying on subversives and radicals in the 1960’s.This show was held at California Hall on February 10 1967 and featured a performance by Heavy Metal innovators The amazing Blue Cheer as well as several second tier San Francisco Bands of the day.The poster is featured in the Art of Rock plate #2.150 and it measures 14 7/32 x 21 15/32”. The poster is in top condition. The only flaws are a small ¼” spot of toning in the bottom left border & 1967 is written lightly in pencil on the back. This poster will be sure to appreciate in the coming years
