This poster was very lightly restored for maximum eye appeal. Restoration includes pinhole fills.

Artist Greg Irons had a long list of popular poster designs from the late sixties era as well as his noted credit for animation work on the Beatles cartoon movie Yellow Submarine. This comical Irons poster was created for a Moby Grape concert at the Avalon Ballroom. Sound Proof Productions a short-lived promotion group took over staging shows at the Avalon in 1969 after the Family Dog moved out.

One of the very few concert posters printed by The Rip Off Press, a very early Underground Comix publisher located in the Bay Area, where the FABULOUS FURRY FREAK BROTHERS and other infamous & notorious UG Comix were spawned for distribution. This is one of only a few examples of this issue we have ever auctioned!

Most of the copies of this poster produced had significant printing flaws, unlike this copy here, which looks sharp. Very few of the ones that have surfaced in public auctions in recent years have looked this good!
