This Wes Wilson Original Handbill was produced for an early Fillmore concert by the Turtles. It would only be 6 short months after this concert their song "Happy Together" would replace the Beatles' "Penny Lane" at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. This handbill's central image of jamming turtles was created by German illustrator and cartoonist Heinrich Kley. The image was also the inspiration for the Grateful Dead Album Terrapin Station.
