The Butterfield Blues Band were innovators in the world of blues/rock and were at the top of their game in the late 1960’s after the release of their first two recordings. The Chicago based band played nearly all of the major festivals of the day and were frequent performers at the Fillmore.

In fact BG-46 & BG 47 (Both in this sale) are both for the Butterfield Blues Band and Charles Lloyd Quartet who played at the Fillmore on consecutive weekends in the fall of 1966.
