1966 - The Matrix – Lightning Hopkins – PAE Graded Mint “95”

This poster is one of the gems of this sale. This early silkscreen from the Matrix told of Lightning Hopkins “King of the Blues” appearance at this historic small venue. This poster has a real authentic early feel to it. Posters like these often get overlooked in larger sales where it’s easy to be swept away by the famous “Monster-pieces”. Study carefully and you’ll see that this is the kind of piece that really deserves your attention.This original printing measures 14 2/32” x 20 1/2” and in truly amazing condition. There are no tears holes creases tape pulls or missing paper. There is a bit of light handling in the lower right and slight toning in the upper left corner 1966 is lightly written in pencil on the reverse.. It would be hard to find a better looking specimen than this.
