This original New York street sign is signed and authenticated on the reverse side by the Managing Director of the Fillmore East, Kip Cohen!
In the early 90s, Mayor Giuliani dedicated 2nd Avenue and 6th Street in NYC as Bill Graham's way. This street sign was produced for the corner street pole, as shortly after the dedication ceremony, looters began removing the signs placed by the city. This is a great find and a welcome addition to any Fillmore East Bill Graham collection!
Writing on the reverse says, Street sign from 2nd Ave and 6th St as commemorated by Mayor Guiliani. Given to me at dedication ceremony NYU Tisch. Kip Cohen, Managing Director, Fillmore East 1968-71.
