Appropriately described as "The Biggest Rhythm & Blues Show of '55" this early lineup for a evening in May 1955 in Chattanooga included legendary names like Erskine Hawkins, The Drifters, Willie Mabon, and Jimmy Reed.
From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010 Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
