Lot of 2 Jimi Hendrix Fillmore East LARGE Uncut Proof Sheets, art by David Byrd. One is SIGNED by Byrd! These are the 2nd printings produced in 1988.
SIGNED, Single sheet from a Color Progression series. 2 color Orange, Black. Color combo #8 of the Set #2 (only 2 signed sets were made). Unsigned, 4 color Yellow, Grey, Orange, Pink.
The spectacular art created by David Byrd for this poster is universally regarded as one of the most attractive designs of all time. Jimi Hendrix performed at Bill Grahams Fillmore East on May 10, 1968. The famed venue was located in the lower East side of Manhattan and was host to all of the major acts of the day. There are relatively few posters for the Fillmore East. Instead, Graham used his print budget to create playbill type programs for the theatre style venue.
