Wow! Triple Wow! We are pleased to offer the highest CGC graded example to ever appear at public auction. This is also the highest quality example to appear at public auction since at least 2010 if not ever. And this is just the 6th BG-26 to appear at public auction since 2010 in ANY condition! To top it off this is the FIRST SIGNED COPY IN MINT CONDITION to ever appear at public auction. The fact that this specimen has survived in this state of preservation is nothing short of a miracle.
Previous examples that have sold at auction are as follows: An example with tape and tears brought $1955 on 4/3/11 a pin-holed copy brought $1501 a pin-holed copy with paper missing brought $1154 on 8/16/12 a pin-holed copy brought $1039 on 9/5/13 and a pin-holed copy brought $1501 on 5/12/16. Obviously all of these posters had additional problems and NONE of them were independently graded and authenticated by CGC.
We have carefully inspected this poster under magnification and a 3/16 inch corner bump in the lower left corner and a few scattered toning flecks on the back are the only flaws we see. This poster is the definition of a “set stopper” if you are looking to collect Mint Fillmore posters. We expect spirited bidding amongst collectors looking to take advantage of this very special opportunity.
