1968 - Virgina Beach Civic Center – Grateful Dead – PAE Graded Mint “97 ”

This poster advertised a Grateful Dead concert at the Virginia Beach Civic Center (The Dome) in 1968. According to DeadBase The Dead played in Virginia Beach on May 11. There is no mention of them playing on the 12th. We are not sure whether the event was rescheduled or the poster got it wrong…. Regardless this is a killer example of a simple black and white Dead poster from an very early tour. The Dead rarely ventured outside of California prior to 1968 . This original printing measures 11” x 17” This poster is top condition. There are no tears holes creases tape pulls or missing paper. There is a faint vertical roll in the paper on (not a fold or crease) 4 “ from the right hand side that keeps this from being dead mint.
