The Grateful played the Avalon Ballroom for three consecutive nights in April of 1969 and they were supported by Graham Parsons and the Flying Burrito brothers. The poster being offered here poster is usually found in brown but here we are offering a scarce blue variant. There is no artist credit on this poster however there is another poster for this same show (AOR 2.25) That was designed by underground comix artist Jack Jaxon and we believe that this poster was created by the same . Really odd design. Which came first chicken or egg?The poster is bright and crisp and it measures 13 30/32” x 16 30/32”This poster is featured in the Art of Rock Plate # 2.26. There are no tears holes creases tape pulls or missing paper. The paper is crisp and clean . Grateful Dead posters from the 1960’s are one of the most feverishly collected posters of the of the era. Hers a chance to own a killer dead poster for a relative steal!
