We are pleased to present the first CGC graded example of this handbill to ever appear in our auction. This original Hendrix handbill by master LA artist John Van Hamersveld is a lasting remnant from a very rare period in history.

Printed on light blue paper, this handbill was produced for Jimi appearing at the Shrine Auditorium on February 10, 1968, with the Soft Machine, Electric Flag and Blue Cheer.

While San Francisco was getting all of the attention for its scene, Los Angeles California was having a pretty wild party on its own, and since it was LA it had to be bigger and more sensational. A promotion group known as Pinnacle Productions began having concerts at the 5000 seats Shrine Auditorium and was hosting many of the now legendary performers of the day.

The Pinnacle, driven by Van Hamersveld along with Marc Chase and Sepp Donahower, produced some of the most powerful and electrifying concerts in the history of rock music at the Shrine Auditorium in the late 60s.

This handbill measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches.
