This original first printing poster was created for the Grateful Dead's appearance at the Sacramento Auditorium on August 12th, 1972.

Though the design is simple, the poster is quite uncommon and material featuring the Grateful Dead is ALWAYS in high demand! This is definitely a great piece to add to your collection. A 9.4 CGC graded copy of this same Grateful Dead Sacramento 1972 first printing concert poster sold in the April 2022 PAE CGC auction for $1560.

The image features Jerry and the rest of the crew with Pig Pen (although Ronald Charles McKernan was forced to retire from touring altogether in June of 1972 due to the toll alcoholism and liver damage had taken on his health, and died from a gastrointestinal hemorrhage on March 8, 1973 at age 27).

The Dead performed nearly 30 tracks during this concert in an auditorium which could hold up to around 4,000 fans.
