This highly sought after poster rarely gets offered in this superb state of preservation. The huge popularity of this issue is due to this show being the First Time that the Grateful Dead ever played at the Avalon Ballroom. Even though the band was third on the bill history clearly proved that the Dead were the most innovative inspirational and improvisational band of the era . This immaculate example is as blue chip as any poster you can acquire. It is tied for the highest CGC graded example ever to appear at auction and the only CGC graded FD10 to be offered in ANY graded in 2016. A similar CGC 9.6 graded piece was sold for a bargain $2530 on 11/26/15 before people understood what CGC is.   We had a superb specimen that was NOT CGC GRADED that brought a record setting $5335.00 back on 5/22/2010. We would be hard pressed to explain how this example could be improved upon in any way.

Estimate $2000-$4000
