This is one of the most popular issues in the Family Dog series for several reasons. First this piece has tremendous historical significance as it is the very first Family Dog concert held at the Avalon Ballroom. Second this is the first Family Dog poster to feature the Family Dog slogan “May the baby Jesus shut your mouth and open your mind.” Last and certainly not least this beautiful Wes Wilson design is truly sensational and looks great “on the wall”. The last 2 mint examples we’ve tracked at auction were an ungraded piece that brought $3231 on 5/22/14 and a signed CGC graded 9.8 example that brought $3507 on 6/16/16. This virtually perfect copy is sure to become the highlight of any collection it is added to.
