This design was created by artist John Pasche for The Rolling Stones 1970 European Tour. This was the band's first tour in Europe since 1967, and it became part of a pattern where they would play North America, continental Europe, and the United Kingdom on a three year rotating cycle. These concerts were similar in style to the ones in the 1969 American Tour, but their new material was now more familiar to fans because "Let It Bleed" had been released several months prior.
