1967 - Richmond Arena - Jefferson Airplane - Mint “97”

This incredible poster by Canadian artist Bob Masse is one of the most striking designs in the rock poster world and is coveted by top collectors of the genre. This thin paper poster promoted a March 1967 show that featured The Jefferson Airplane at the Richmond Arena in Vancouver British Columbia. This was the Airplane at the point their commercial breakthrough and creative highpoint just one month after the release of their historic recording “Surrealistic Pillow” The Airplane were joined by other less know period acts at this event that was billed as the Vancouver Trips Festival. This poster is extremely scarce and next to impossible to find in this state of preservation. This original first printing thin paper poster measures 13 11/16” x 19 15/16 “ and in incredible shape with razor sharp corners. The only flaw is a handling mark that is 3” from the top on the right hand edge. The poster is stamped on the back with the following; Organic Arts. Suite 2 9031 Hudson St. Vancouver 14 BC. The poster has no nicks tears pin holes or missing paper. True museum quality.
