PAE is thrilled to offer this extremely scarce original poster for the first time in any public auction. This poster advertised the Allman Brothers Band at The Sitar in Spartanburg, SC on October 17, 1970. Very few posters from the early years of the Allman Brothers Band exist, not to mention the Duane Allman era. This was just the second year of the band's existence, and the year before band leader Duane Allman's untimely early death.
This SUPER RARE poster was acquired from someone who attended the show. The opening band Toy Factory was an early version of the Marshall Tucker Band, who were from Spartanburg. The Marshall Tucker Band was officially formed two years later.
