After the Family Dog ended their tenure at the Avalon Ballroom. A production company names Sound Proof Productions began hosting shows at the venue. Soundproof enlisted the talents of Rick Griffin for the poster art. This partnership left thee incredible piece of Griffin artwork to collectors. The most noteworthy was The Art for The Grateful Dead concert ended up being used as the cover for the bands third album Aoxomoxoa but there were two other wonderful Griffin posters that are sleepers for collectors this being one of them. This poster was for a performance by the Youngbloods. The posters borrows symbols that were repeatedly used in Griffins creations The Hopi Indian Mask and The Flying Eye make an appearance in this overlooked Griffin Poster.
