1966 FD-36 Big Brother Janis Joplin Avalon Handbill 5.5

This handbill offers the same great artwork as the original poster for a far lower price! This beautiful floral design was Victor Moscoso's third for the Avalon and shows the artist developing his unique style. This is a classic SF lineup with Quicksilver, Big Brother and Country Joe on the same bill.

On this particular example of the original handbill, Page 3 of the November 1966 issue number 11 of the cult rock newsletter Mojo Navigator appears on the reverse of the handbill. Issue 11 included an interview with Country Joe & The Fish, who were also on the cover, plus this Moscoso handbill for Country Joe, Big Brother and The Holding Company and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon, as well as info about the riot on Sunset Strip.
