The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair is easily the most famous musical/cultural event of the 1960’s. The festival was originally intended to be held in Wallkill New York. However permits were denied and the festival promoters had to find a new location just a month prior to the festival. The festival was then moved to Bethel NY. The rest is history. The poster being offered here was designed for the original site and was designed by Fillmore East poster artist David Byrd. This beautiful Example has been signed by the artist. This poster measures 13 1/2” x 22 1/2” . There are no nicks cuts tears pinholes or restoration of any kind. The poster does exhibit a ¾”lower left corner bump and has a curl from being rolled for over a decade. This poster is featured in “The Art of Rock” Plate # 3.2 . A very beautiful important and high quality poster from the most historic music festival of all time.
